How to tell serial numbers on Bridgestone MB3 Mountain bikes?

I had a 1992 MB3 it got stolen in Arkansas… However, I think I picked up a 1990 model year. How do you tell? The interesting thing about the Bridgestone MB3 it is not the most expensive bike I have owned but per dollar value it is the best! Bikes I currently have in mtb fleet; Moots and Ritchey… However, there is a serious soft spot for a good old Bridgestone MB3.
